Coloured frits based on the lithium borosilicozirconate system have been developed for decoration of dinnerware, glass ceramics, borosilicate and opal glass. Although free of lead, cadmium and barium, the glasses have a softening point below 535 degrees C, fire brilliantly and have good dishwasher resistance.
