In the past 5 years, Anchor Hocking Glass Co has made a commitment to provide its consumer and food service customers with a better quality product. Historically, improved quality sometimes lends itself to decreases in production efficiencies. One production process where production quality was enhanced, and at the same time provided greater efficiencies, was the annealing process. This was achieved by upgrading the lehr on one of the prodution lines with a burner and control system capable of automatic heat cool control strategy.
