Anti-Crisis Plan Should Provide Glass Industry Support

Amid the ongoing economic recession and devaluation of the national currency caused by Western sanctions, leading Russian glass producers have devised a combination of measures aimed at improving the industry's current status. The initiative was confirmed by Victor Osipov, President of StekloSouz, the Russian association that unites the country's leading glass producers, according to whom a special crisis management centre has been established. As part of the plan, the new centre will focus on the coordination of joint activities amid the financial crisis conditions and the development of an anti-crisis plan. In addition, the anti-crisis headquarters will focus on solving the most pressing problems of the Russian glass industry, including an ever-declining volume of investment and the potential threat of declining glass consumption.
