Alglass Sun: An Ultra-Low-Nox Oxy Burner For Glass Furnaces With Adjustable Length And Heat Transfer Profile

A new oxygen burner technology called Alglass SUN (Separate Ultra-Low NOx) has been developed by Air Liquide, which relies on a large separation of the fuel and oxidant streams and on the adjustable distribution of the oxidant in three different streams. Such a burner has been demonstrated to answer the dual needs of thermal profile optimisation and minimisation of NOx emissions. Moreover, Alglass SUN soft flame seems particularly adapted to glass processes with its positive impact on glass quality and wall temperatures.
