Advanced Glass Temperature Conditioning

To compete in today's market, glassmakers are turning to faster, more efficient forming processes to improve glass quality and increase productivity. Traditional conditioning techniques are proving inadequate to generate the high degree of temperature control and stability needed to improve quality and increase production. To overcome these traditional limitations, BOC Gases' Glass Technologies Group has developed an approach to forehearth temperature conditioning that virtually eliminates glass temperature variations as a source of forming problems by enabling the individual control zones to operate as a single unit.
