Zyvex Corp (USA) & Arkema (Paris) will strengthen their strategic partnership by jointly developing commercial nanomaterials applications. Through a new licensing arrangement, Arkema will use Zyvex's patented Kentera dispersion technology, in conjunction with its own multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). Arkema will also be the exclusive distributor in Europe of Zyvex's NanoSolve product line. Arkema produces & distributes high-quality MWNTs. Its production facility at Lacq, France, opened earlier in 2006 with an annual capacity of 10 tons of high purity MWNTs. With this new facility, Arkema plans to commercially develop its MWNTs to fulfill their potential in the thermoplastics, epoxy resins, elastomers & coating sectors.
