Zimglass Resumes Work

Zimbabwe Glass Industries (Zimglass) has resumed production of flint glass soft drinks bottles. The bottles will be supplied to beverage manufacturer Delta Beverage, and Zimglass is expected to produce 2100/t of flint glass containers per month until March 2014. The company reopened in 2012 after suspending operations for three years, to embark on a refurbishment exercise of the blast furnace as well as replace outdated equipment.
