Zedtec - First Solar Plant In India

Demand for low iron glass used in the production of photovoltaic solar panels, which generate energy from natural sunlight, continues to see considerable growth. At present, China is at the forefront of this technology, producing 90% of the world's capacity of solar glass, stimulating global interest from glassmakers who are producing this type of glass locally. Zedtec, part of the TECO Group, and specialist in glass conditioning technology, has now provided dedicated distributors and forehearths to solar glass producers in 8 different countries, with tonnages of up to 180/tpd and ribbon widths of up to 2,800mm. The first low iron solar glass line in India, which uses a Zedtec forehearth, has been successfully in production for a year at Gujarat Borosil Ltd. The company produces high quality solar glass with a transmission of 91.6% and has an annual capacity of 4.3M sq/m of solar glass. For more information, please visit: www.zedtec.com/
