Yioula Celebrates Bulgarian Progress

Yioula Glassworks of Greece has celebrated its investments in the Bulgarian glassmaking sector with a formal inauguration of a new furnace and by participation at the Vinaria exhibition of wine growing and production equipment. In Bulgaria, Yioula now has two sites. The new furnace at its Drujba factory in Plovdiv is one of the largest in Europe with 125,000 tonnes annual capacity and feeds six forming lines. It is one of the results of Yioula Glassworks Euros 25M investment programme in Bulgaria. In Greece, the firm won two honorary awards from the Union of Packaging Materials Manufacturers for its bottle designs for Epsa Sour cherry drink and Loli mineral water, and it is the main sponsor for the ESG conference on glass science and technology, held in Athens in April.
