A new micro-brewery in Yorkshire has begun bottling its most popular ale in glass and will, initially, target regional off-licenses and specialist stores. The Wold Top Brewery, which was founded in 2003, is bottling its best selling cask ale, Wolds Way, a brew that was created from traditional recipes using home-grown Maris Otter malt, Goldings and Cascade hops and the farm's own chalk-filtered water. The result is a 3.6% abv pale ale. The beer, which retails at £2.00/bottle, has been named after the 79 mile trail from the region's Humber Estuary to Filey Brigg. According to the brewer, the ale has offered welcome refreshment to many walkers at several pubs that line the route.
