Wine To Use Temperature Labels: New Thermochromic Labels From Print Run, Uk

An unnamed UK brand of white wine has ordered 400,000 thermochromic labels from UK producer Print Run. By changing colour the labels will alert consumers to when the product is at its best drinking temperature. Another label developed by Print Run irreversibly shows whether fresh chicken has been frozen at any time between supplier and retailer, using a thermometer graphic. UK law requires frozen chicken to be relabelled as such. Print Run is also testing its labels with drug companies. The firm hopes that early exposure among regulators will encourage its time temperature indicators to be recommended if legislation changes to require their use.
