Windscreen Recycling

Technology to enable up to 10,000/t of car windscreens/pa to be recycled has been developed, according to Ecofillers, Yorkshire. The process, which involves separating the laminated glass sandwiched together with layers of plastic, follows a year-long pilot project situated at Berryman's glass collection site in Kirkby, S Yorks. Ecofillers is planning to roll out the technology on a commercial scale by opening a new plant soon.
