William Grants Relies On Sto Expertise For Glenfiddich Ultimate 38 Year Old Whisky

Some years ago, Glenfiddich launched its magnificent 38 years old Glenfiddich Ultimate whisky in mouth blown crystal decanters which had been manually finsihed by sandblasting, hand painted gold decorationn, each bottle having a unique limited edition batch number. In the middle of 2013, Stolzle conducted an innovation presentation at William Grants operational facility; this resulted in the award of the 38 year old Glenfiddich project and forms part of STO group's strategy into the "Luxury" Prestige Spirits decangers market. The development and production of the sophisitcated iconic triangular decanter took place at Stolz'es UK site. It was a huge challenge to manufacture the whisky decanter fully automatically, and decorate it in several steps: The heavy based bottle is hand cut and manually polished before the applicaiton of the gold painting in the engraved front surface. The larger volume of automatic production of this brilliant decanter bears not only a reduction of unit costs but guarantees greater accuracy as well. This job can be defined as yet another highlight in STO's Prestige Spirits product range.
