The Waste Controls (England & Wales) Regulations 2009

Affecting any business that carries waste "normally and regularly" - these Regulations amend the waste carrier and broker registration system - the list of those exempt from registering and the list of details required in a waste transfer note. The Regulations will strengthen the powers available to enforcement authorities to stop, search and seize vehicles suspected of involvement in illegal waste activity.
