Vitro Sells Plastics Business To Concentrate On Glass

Mexican-based Vitro has sold its plastic container manufacturing firm, Envases Cuautitlan, for $18M. The company has stated that the move is consistent with its strategy of "focusing its resources and energy on its glass-related businesses of flat glass, containers and glassware throughout the world." Proceeds from the sale will be used to strengthen Vitro's financial position.
