Vitro Plans Capital Increase

Vitro SA announced on 12 September 2006 that it plans to consider a capital increase during the shareholders meeting later in September 2006. The company did not provide details of the proposed increase. In a filing with the Mexican Stock Exchange, Monterrey-based Vitro said the meeting is to be held 27 Sept 2006. On the local stock market, the company's class A shares closed at US$ 1.11 on 11 Sept/06.
