Viridor Acquires Brett Waste

Viridor Waste Management Ltd., has acquired Brett Waste Management, a landfill, power generation and recycling business from Robert Brett & Sons Ltd. Brett Waste is headquartered near Canterbury and comprises: strategically located landfill sites in Kent and Essex with around 11M cubic metres of consented capacity; landfill gas power generation schemes totalling six megawatts capacity; associated transfer station, collection and recycling activities, including Kent's largest clean materials recycling facility. As a result of the acquisition, Viridor Waste's consented landfill capacity increases to approximately 91M cubic metres and its power generation to 58M megawatts.
