It was reported in the news that, following an extensive bid process, Encirc has been acquired by Vidrala for 408.6m/Euros. Encirc will join Vidrala retaining its identity under the management of the current team, led by MD, Adrian Curry. With almost 1200 employees, Encirc has manufacturing plants in Derrylin (NI) and Elton (Cheshire). Both sites manufacture container glass for the UK and Ireland food and drink sectors with the Elton plant also providing a beverage filling and logistics service. Sales forecasts for Encirc for 2014 are between £243-245M with an EBITDA of £47-48m. Adrian Curry, MD at Encirc siad: "Vidrala has a sizeable presence in Europe and has committed to supporting Encirc's continued development and investment. This will ensure that the business will continue to grow, innovate, maintain and enhance its market-leading position to the benefit of Encirc's employees, customers, suppliers and local communities alike."
