In France, the vial industry is a dynamic sector which gathers the markets of cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging, from the prestigious bottles for perfume to the modes ampoules for drinkable fluids. The major part of the activity is concentrated in the Upper Normandy area, accounting for about sixty companies. This paper looks at some glassmaking plants located in France and in nearby countries.
