Vetropack Plant Closure

By the end of February 2002, the Swiss glass container company Vetropack, intends to close its glassworks in Burlach, concentrating it in St.Prex. The sales, marketing, logistic and production departments, however, will still be located at Burlach. The firm says the decision was taken in order to maintain 350 jobs in Switzerland. The cost of the reorganization will be around SF415-20m.
