Vetropack Moravia Glass (Vmg) Raise Sales

Glass packaging manufacturer Vetropack Moravia Glass (VMG), raised its sales in 2006 by 2.8% year-on-year to CZK 2.162 billion on higher foreign demand, board chairman Marcello Montisci said 6 June 2007. In 2005, nearly 42% of the company's output was exported, while in 2006 it was 51%, with Poland, Russia and Romania the major customers, said Montisci. Cooperation with Slovak company Vetropack Nemsova has become more effective, which had a positive effect on the 2006 results, he added. VMG Kyjov, a unit of the Swiss group Vetropack Holding AG, produces about 300 types of glass packaging and employs some 430 staff.
