Verallia Reignites Flame At Cognac Site

On February 8, 2013 in the presence of local officials, employees and retirees from Cognac’s plant, Verallia reignited the flame of furnace number 3, dedicated to the colour green which is mainly intended for the Bordeaux wine bottle market. Verallia invested 22M/euros in the reconstruction and the site is equipped with new machines which are much more able to adapt to customers’ needs. Philippe Coltat-Gran, Director of the Cognac plant, said: "It is significant. Beyond the mostly reconstructed furnace, there are also new IS machines that we are inaugurating today, as well as the nearly completed reconstruction of the Cold End. This new and much more flexible tooling is going to improve our customer service by producing smaller runs in even shorter deadlines."
