Verallia Invests In Brazil

Verallia is speeding its development in Brazil via the construction of the group's first plant in the country's north east. The greenfield project will be built at Estancia in the state of Sergipe and involves an investment of over 70M/Euros. Construction should be completed by 2015. Verallia's fourth production facility in Brazil, the site will employ around 485 people during the construction phase and 195 (including subcontractors) when fully operational with its first furnace. It will produce glass bottles and jars for food and beverages and will primarily serve Brazil's north eastern market.
