The systems are designed to protect human life in industrial, commercial and public buildings by speedily opening flaps and windows in the event of fire. This allows toxic gases, smoke and heat to escape from the premises, allowing safe evacuation and quicker fire control. The devices consist of window actuators linked via a control panel to the fire alarm system, building management system or smoke/heat detectors.
