Valmiera Fiberglass - January Gross Turnover

Latvia's Valmieras Stikla Skiedra had a gross turnover of 1.82m lats (US$3,06m) in January, according to chief accountant Dzintars Rudzitis. It was announced that turnover in January was some 1.06m lats. The company posted an unaudited profit of 600,000 lats on a turnover of 13.3m lats. In 1999, the company had the highest turnover during the period between June and October, 1.3-1.6m lats, which related to activization of the construction season. This year the company hopes to earn 600,000 lats on a turnover of 13.8m lats. Valmiera Fiberglass shares are quoted on the second list of the Riga Stock Exchange, the Latvian Central Depository of Securities lists 11.49m shares in the fibreglass company. (whole item)
