[Usa] Owens-Corning To Build New Insulation Plant

Owens Corning is planning to build a £150M/pa greenfield light density fibre glass insulation plant as part of an ongoing commitment to meet the needs of its customers through strategic capacity expansions. The full scale plant is planned for the South-eastern US. Production could begin as early as the third quarter 2006, due to recent advances in the Company's proprietary RHOAD manufacturing platform, which will allow the facility to be constructed nearly 15% faster than previously possible.
