[Usa] Mustang Solar Receives Green Technology Grant

Mustang Vacuum/Mustang Solar has been awarded US$2M via the Renewable Energy Grant Program of the Florida Energy & Climate Commission. The grant will be used to supplement Mustang Solar's development of their advanced PV deposition technologies, aimed at transitioning high efficiency solar cell lab processes to industrial solar cell manufacturing. Mustang Solar was formed leveraging Mustang Vacuum Systems' industrial production deposition expertise to develop technology for the solar industry, geared toward driving down the cost of thin film photovoltaic cell production. Thin film deposition processes such as evaporation, sputtering & plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition used in other industrial processes are being used in conjunction with Mustang Solar's proprietary technology, enabling PV cell producers to scale up their processes from lab to production.
