Applications are now being accepted for the Glass Association of North America's (GANA) Educational Foundation 2010 scholarships, now in their third year. Other than the minimum 5 $1,000 scholarships for undergrads, there is a new Graduate scholarship of $2,500. In total, the Foundation has so far awarded 16 scholarships to students in the fields of architecture, construction management or engineering, also including business students. "GANA created this program in 2006 as a way to give back to the industry," said Bill Yanek, executive vice president at GANA. "By awarding students who will become an integral part of our industry, we hope to encourage the increased usage of glass in commercial architecture." Deadline for scholarship applications is 1 April 2010.
