[Usa] Bennu Glass To Revive Kalama Plant After 2009 Glass Leak

Bennu Glass is currently working to restart its Kalama plant in Washington, USA, by July 2012, reports confirm. In 2010 the company acquired the assets of the wine bottle plant, which was previously owned by Cameron Family Glass Packaging, and shut down after its electric melting furnace suffered a glass leak in early 2009. "To restart the factory, Bennu will make a significant investment in the existing facility which includes the installation of a new, state-of-the-art oxy-fuel furnace," said Jerry Lemieux, Bennu CEO. Once at full capacity, it is estimated that the factory will produce more than 100M wine bottles/pa, serving the sine industry in California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada.
