USA-based Bennu Glass LLC is planning a significant investment in the former Cameron Family wine bottle facility inKalama, Washington, and intends to repoen the factory by early 2012. Bennu bought most of Cameron's assets through foreclosure after Cameron filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009. Subject to receipt of environmental permits, an oxy fuel-fired melting furnace will be designed and built by Germany's Nikolaus Sorg GmbH, replacing the original electric tank. Bennu plans to servie the vibrant wine industry in California, Oregon, Washington and western Canada. At full capacity, the factory will produce over 100M wine bottles per year.
