Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, the biggest US beer seller by revenue, and MillerCoors LLC announced in September they will increase beer prices in the majority of their US sales regions. "We plan to increase prices in the autumn on the majority of our volume in the majority of the US," said David Peacock, President of Anheuser's US division, adding that the environment was "favourable." Miller Coors also said it will raise prices. "We have seen very strong pricing to-date this year, and are projecting a favourable pricing environment moving forward," said Brad Schwartz, a Vice President at Miller Coors. He declined to provide specifics. These two companies, which increased prices at the same time last year, account for around 80% of US beer sales. Some retailers are unhappy with the increases citing it as being a blow-back from too little competition.
