United Glass - Upsurge In Demand

In addition to the upsurge in demand for speciality beer bottles, United Glass has reported a significant increase in demand for glass within the large and stable food jars market. Sales of glass containers in the UK from 1991 to 1995 indicate the market for jams and spreads has risen by almost 20% and that for oils and vinegars is up by 37%. As a result, United Glass has invested in the development of a family of five jars in 8, 12 and 16oz, 370ml and 500g sizes. The four largest have the same diameter and closure size. A more squat 370ml jar has also been introduced.
