Ukraine will introduce a 5y definitive anti-dumping measures against imports into the country for glassware of a medical capacity of up to 0.15 litres (codes 7010907110 and 7010907900) originating in the Russian Federation. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT), this decision was taken by the Interdepartmental CommisSion on International Trade (ICIT) on 24 May following an investigation initiated by the bank "Maryanovsky Glass" in Baranowski District, Zhytomyr Region. The Commission's decision comes into force 30 days from the date of publication of the notice. "The results of the anti-dumping investigation showed that some Russian enterprises exported to Ukraine - packaging medical supplies at dumped prices is causing damage to domestic producers," said a Ministry spokesperson. The ICIT initiated an anti-dumping investigation in June 2012 from a complaint by Maryanovsky Glassworks, which accounts for over 50% of Ukrainian production of glass containers to 0.15 litres.
