[Ukraine] Glass Exports Up 43.7% In 2005

The Ukraine's exports of glass and glass products increased by 43.7% year-on-year to EUR 54.7M for 2005, according to data from the State Statistics Committee. Imports rose by 34.1% to EUR 134M, accounting for 0.44% of the country's total imports for 2005. Output of cast, rolled, blown and drawn, sheet and profiled glass increased by 18.3% year-on-year to 9.0 million square meters in 2004. The country's production of float glass and glass sheet with smooth or polished surface rose by 17.6% to 16.7 million square meters in 2004.
