Since completing a management buyout in 2003, DSF Refractories & Minerals Ltd has gone from strength to strength. Established in 1892 as Derbyshire Silica Firebrick Co, the company is now the UK's largest refractory producer, with over 150 skilled workers across its locations in the UK and China, with a turnover of more than £20M in 2009. DSF specialises in high alumina products but provides a wide range of refractory materials for almost every glass furnace application.
