Tv Tube Processing Equipment For Sony Plant

Stein Atkinson Stordy (SAS) has completed the installation of a 5m wide frit seal lehr at the Sony plant in Bridgend, South Wales. The lehr heat fuses screens to glass funnels, using low melt glass or frit, to form complete colour picture tubes (CPT's); it has the capacity for processing up to 1.85m per year, based on a 300d, 24h operating cycle.
