Tv Sales Continue To Rise

Corning has reported that LCD TV sales are continuing to undergo strong growth. During the recent inauguration of its new Generation 10 LCD glass substrate facility in Sakai City, Japan, on 15 March, company President, Jim Clappin, told investors that the retail data for the year shows high demand for LCD TVs. Clappin also said that January sales in China increased 53%, and are in line with the company's expectations for the year. Sales of LCD TVs in Japan also reported an increase of 79% in January & 65% in February.
