Tv Glass Production Spreads

LG Philips Displays is to start production of its new 32" wide screen "Real Flat" Super Slim glass television cathode ray tubes at Gumi in Korea next year. The move follows the start of production of 21" versions of the screen at Durham, UK, which will shortly be extended to LG Philips Display's factory at Nanjing in China. Its design is 35cm deep, 30% less than standard CRTs, and saves considerable weight of glass and therefore packaging materials and transport costs. (whole item)
