Glass manufacturer Siscam has announced plans to increase output by 30% to 3.5M/t in 2010. The turkish firm is also reportedly poised to sign a contract with Saint-Gobain to build a float line in the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia. Output from this plant will be sold in the building and automotive markets. Sisecam's Chairman, Ahmet Kirman, told Reuters in an interview that the firm planned an investment of US$500M in 2010, including Greece, where it has an acquisition target. "We are planning on producing 3.5M/tonnes in 2010, and we target sales growth of 20%," said Mr Kirman.
