[Training] Practical Food Law: Weights & Measures - 15 September 2006

Although quantity control rules apply to the production and marketing of most food and drink, the detailed and complex legislation can often appear baffling to the non-specialist. This one-day workshop will help to demystify average weight legislation, and give delegates the confidence to review the efficiency and effectiveness of their current systems. It will be of particular benefit to production and quality assurance staff working in companies whose products are weight marked. The workshop will focus on: The new Packaged Goods Regulations 2006; Quantity checks, equipment and records; Remedial actions; Packers' and importers' responsibilities; Inspector's reference tests; Prescribed quantities and quantity marking; Due diligence.
