G-Coat is the branded hot-end glass coating product of global chemical company Gulbrandsen, consisting of a moisture resistant blend of Monobutyltin Trichloride. G-Coat was introduced by the company through careful evaluation and field testing at multiple glass plants in North America to produce a low cost product for use on conjunction with specially engineered application equipment. Gulbrandsen offers a range of vapour deposition hoods that incorporate numerous design features, proven in glassworks use. According to the company, the combination of G-Coat coating and the appropriate Gulbrandsen hood will lead to low production costs. The equipment is available in 3 lengths to suit production rates: 66", 48" and 36". In addition, Gulbrandsen provides unique equipment to coat 2 lines of parallel production.
