Tata Chemicals, part of the US$67BN Tata Group, Tata Group, has announced a major re-branding initiative to incorporate its subsidiaries in the UK, USA and Kenya under the Tata Chemicals corporate brand. The move is intended to create a common global identity for the soda ash producer and to strengthen the Tata Chemicals brand across the globe. With effect from 1 April 2011, the following corporate brand transition will take place: General Chemicals Industrial Products becomes Tata Chemicals North America; General Chemicals (Soda Ash) Partners becomes Tata Chemicals (Soda Ash) Partners; Brunner Mond (UK) becomes Tata Chemicals Europe; Magadi Soda Company becomes Tata Chemicals Magadi; and Brunner Mond SA becomes Tata Chemicals South Africa.
