Tapered Bottle Suits Lighter Macallan

The Macallan Fine Oak, a new range of "lighter" single malt whiskies, has been packed in a distinctive bottle from Allied Glass. Brands packaging manager at The Macallan Distillers Helen Potter explains: "The bottle presented a considerable labelling challenge in that there was a restricted landing area for the triangular shoulder label. The bottle is quite a departure from the original tall, round Macallan container in tapering elegantly from round at the base to oval at the shoulder." The litho printed, foil blocked, embossed and debossed presentation cartons are from Field Bradford, while the labels, printed with UV inks, varnished and foil blocked, are from Gilmour & Dean in Glasgow.
