Taiwan Glass Revenues Hit October High

October 2000 revenues at Taiwan Glass Industry totalled T$ 1.2bn, a 208% improvement on October 1999 and the highest level in recent years. Sales were also 3.3% up on those for September. Over the first ten months of 2000, the firm generated total revenue of T$10.72bn, up 28.7% on the corresponding period of 1999. Revenue from glass fibre cloth represented 47.7% of the October total. A November increase in glass fibre cloth prices to T$140-150 (2-3%) was forecast to result in higher profits for the fourth quarter.
