Swiss Recycling Booms

Misapor, a Swiss company that makes insulation and anti-filtration products from glass, is building a new factory at a site in Dagmersellen operated by the specialist glass recycler Vetro-Recycling. The factory will be able to process 40,000 tonnes of waste glass a year to produce 16,000 cu metres of its foam-glass aggregates, also called Miraspor. Production is due to start in November/02. The company has been producing its products from used glass since 1982 and demand is growing so much that it decided to build the new factory.
