Air Products and Saudi Arabia's Zamil Steel Industries have benefited from Guardian Industries' decision to build a new float glass factory at Goole in the UK. The gases supplier Air Products has won a long-term contract to supply ultra high purity nitrogen through an on-site gas generator. Zamil Steel, who claim to be the world's biggest exporter of pre-engineered buildings, has won the contract to supply and erect the 65,000 square metre factory building for the Guardian plant. It has already worked with Guardian to build a factory at Jubail in Saudi Arabia. Air Products will supply, operate and maintain a Prism HPM 20 plant to generate 60/tpd nitrogen. It will also supply liquid nitrogen from a factory for back up and to respond to peak shaving.
