Several potential industrial applications are envisaged for "Dyna-glass", claimed to be the strongest glass ever made. Produced through a process designated the "depletion process", American and Russian scientists that have developed Dynaglass claim that it offers the potential to inexpensively market a wide range of structural & electrical products; from automotive windshields, to beverage containers, to powerful storage batteries. The new revolutionary glass has been patented by Dynelec Corp, a technology company founded in 1994 in Columbus, Ohio by a small group of US entrepreneurs & international scientists, and Dynaglass has been under development during the past 7 years in Russia and the US. After its development, it was found that the glass-like material could be used to store energy with a capacity 5-30 times that of a conventional battery.
