Czech Stolzle in Hermanova Hut suffered a disastrous fire on 24 Dec/09. However, the factory will soon shine in splendour & has become one of Europe's flagships for pharma glass packaging, having built a completely new production hall & regenerative state-of-the-art furnace noted for extremely low energy consumption & optmized NOx emissions. Equipped with specific dust filters, it will keep emissions well below the maximum legal limit. "As far as possible we will repair the former IS machines & add new machines that take advantage of the most modern production technology available.To cope with the steadily increasing demand for pharmaceutical glass & miniatures in amber glass & react to the constantly rising cost pressure, we will increase production capacity by moving up to 2 lines from other STO facilities to Stolzle-Union or adding new ones," said J Schick, CEO.
