Sto Whisky Bottle "Haigh Club" Results Winner Of German Packaging Award

In 2014 David Beckham entered the Whisky scene by endorsing the marvellous Single Grain Scotch Whisky manufactured in cooperation with the premium drinks company Diageo, at Cameronbridge Distillery - the oldest grain distillery in Scotland. It was an honour for Stölzle to be involved in this unique and challenging decanter design manufactured in cobalt blue which draws on a history of bottles produced by the House of Haig, including the Haig Dimple Bottle, recognisable the world over. Recently, the stunning blue whisky decanter resulted winner of the German Packaging Awards 2015 in the category Beverages. The jury’s decision was influenced not only by the exceptional design of the bottle: The straight body with its clearly defined sharp edges lead to an outstanding shelf appeal within the wide range of traditionally shaped whisky bottles. The decision was based, as well, on the technically perfect glass quality. As is known within the glass industry blowing this kind of deep blue glass in fully automatic production is challenging but a beautiful homogenous finish was achieved. Our British production site of Stölzle Glass Group proved its expertise and Haig Club was successfully launched in the UK.
