Stein Atkinson Stordy Completes Lehr Installation

SAS Ltd has completed the installation of a 5-meter wide frit seal lehr that will heat-fuse screens to glass funnels at the Sony Mfg. Co. plant in Bridgend, South Wales. The lehr, which uses low melt glass to form complete colour picture tubes, is equipped with the capacity to process up to 18.85m CPTs per year, based on a 300-day, 24-hour operating cycle.
